Shoes, as for many of us women, are one of my weaknesses when it comes to shopping, and by shoes I mean boots in particular. I love boots. I love how practical they are, yet they are also stylish, sexy, chic and teamed up with skinny jeans and a long coat are part of my uniform for pretty much the whole of the colder months, which for the UK is about 90% of the time.
So when Next not only invited me to one of their amazing events (I love Next events; they always know how to put on a good one, invite lovely people and are always worth attending in my book, plus oh boy do they give us good cocktails!) BUT then also offered to send me a pair of shoes of my choice to wear for it, well I was on the next website pretty damn sharpish shall we say; nowt gets in the way of a gal and free shoes…
So with my love for boots never far away, and after lots of careful consideration; this was not a decision to be rushed; I opted for these beauties – knee high, black leather and a chunky heel.
I wore these for the event in London which took place at Kachette in Shorditch and it was a pretty epic venue! I teamed up with my staples; Kate Spade bag, my new long coat from Primark, skinny jeans and an oversized jumper – I was aiming for comfortable yet chic.
I definitely put the boots through their paces; I travelled down in them and then decided to get off the tube early and walk half an hour to the venue (after walking around Primark whilst killing time I may add), then spent the whole night in them chatting to some lovely ladies.
And my verdict? They were the perfect pick. Comfortable, stylish and practical. I couldn’t have done so much walking in many other pairs of heels that I own so if you want height but without the crippling side effects then try these beauties out.
If you haven’t already checked out Next for shoes then do so, do it now, go on. I have bought a few pairs of heels from Next because I find they are made really well and are actually nice to wear! The whole idea of the shoes from Next is that they are uber chic but also comfortable no matter what you are doing, what style you are rocking or where you are going – so no need to plan your shoes around how far you’ll be walking (we’ve all done it…). After seeing so many of the shoes and accessories at the event I can safely say that Next will now be responsible for my poorly looking bank account this month…. #sorrynotsorry
