I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I blooming love love love a face mask. I never used to be that bothered partly because I can be ridiculously lazy when it comes to skincare and I kinda know what I like and what I don’t so tend stick to that.
So a little background – the face mask obsession started with The Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask; I really like clay masks as they feel like they are doing something on your skin. If I am going to take the time to apply a mask I want it to look and feel like it is doing something and this one is great for that; it heats up as you apply onto the skin then cools down and hardens after a few minutes.
I also tried the Simple Kind To Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask which is great for those on a budget and those who perhaps have more sensitive skin so need something a little more gentle. You only leave on for three minutes and it is really easy to remove.
The other in my current skincare routine is one I lusted after for a while, the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask which I picked up on the cheaper side from duty free. Like I said I tend to favour clay masks and I was in no way disappointed with this one. It goes on and comes off really well, hardens and tightens on to the skin and feels like it is giving your skin a deep clean.
So when L’Oreal decided to bring out three new masks that are affordable and can be used together, multi-masking at its best, I couldn’t resist picking one up; I did well, I wanted all three! I went for the Pure Clay Glow Mask, who doesn’t love a little glow eh!
The other two in the collection are the Pure Clay Purity Mask and the Pure Clay Detox Mask. As mentioned you can use all three at the same time focusing on different areas of your face or use one all over which is what I have been doing.
The Glow Mask is red with tiny exfoliating beads in it and gives your face a thorough clean. I use a couple of times a week and leave on my face for just under ten minutes to allow it to harden. It comes off easy with warm water and a flannel; it does leave my skin a little red so I wouldn’t use in the morning only at night. My skin is fine with this mask but I imagine if you have super sensitive skin using it so regularly may be a little tough on your skin.
It doesn’t have a weird, funky smell to it, it has a good consistency and I like that it really exfoliates; I would definitely by all three masks now after using this one. It leaves my skin feeling clean, exfoliated and super smooth. You can pick them up from Boots for only £7.99 but they are on offer quite regularly for around £5.
If you are looking for a budget friendly yet luxury feeling mask then I suggest getting your mitts on this.
