I thought I would share with you some of the bits that are staples in my summer wardrobe/beauty regime right now considering the weather isn’t horrendous at the moment! Summer is the perfect time to try something new and mix things up a little and so there have been a couple of items I have been loving lately.
Red Herring Backpack from Debenhams: I picked this up when they had 25% off so managed to get it for only £20. I didn’t want to spend loads on a backpack as it was one of those where I wasn’t sure if I was buying it because I really needed and wanted it, or if it was just a trend buy. I have actually used it a lot and really enjoy using it! It is great for when I am out and about at blogger related events as having my hands free helps when trying to take photos on my phone and camera. See my OOTD post feat my backpack here. It is a good size, very structured and a light grey colour that goes with pretty much everything.
Barry M Nail Polish in Huckleberry: I am a fan of Barry M polishes as they always have such a good shade range, last well, and they are always price friendly. I am usually one for reds or nudes on my nails but I was pleasantly surprised with this pretty blue shade; not too dark or bright, just a great pop of colour. See which other Barry M shades I picked up here.
NYX Ombre Blush in 02 Strictly Chic: If there is only one blusher you buy this summer, then make it this beauty. I love love love it and wear it practically all of the time! I love the ombre effect as you can make the blush as subtle or as dark as you like and it gives the most gorgeous coral shimmer across my cheeks; the perfect blush for summer. Very happy I picked this one up, see what else I picked up from NYX here.
Superdrug Vitamin E Refreshing Toning Mist: Purse friendly and great for those warmer days! I spray after moisturising and over makeup and it freshens my skin up really well, isn’t sticky and dries easily. A really nice step in my skincare regime; I am also a huge fan of the serum from this range too, see the post here.
New Look Rose Gold Sunglasses: Sunglasses are such a great (and easy) way to add fun to your summer outfit and mix things up a little. I always opt for black shades but wanted something a little different so picked these mirrored beauties up from New Look for around £8. See my OOTD featuring them here.
Primark ‘Adorable’ Fragrance: I picked this up just as I was about to pay and can you believe it was only £2 for 20ml. Now I’ll admit I usually always go for higher end perfume but sometimes I want something less costly to throw into my handbag or take away with me on my travels. This smells gorgeous and reminds me a little of Miss Dior Cherie, a big favourite of mine; very fresh and fruity. It doesn’t last as long as some of my others but as I said there is quite a difference in price. If you need something to pull from your handbag every day or don’t want to risk taking your expensive fragrances on holiday then this one is great, plus its only 20ml so perfect for hand luggage.
