The Oversized Spring Coat

The Oversized Spring Coat 1

It’s no secret that I have a slight addiction to buying coats; I have no idea why (although I am cold most of the time…) but I just constantly stumble across more and more that I need want in my life. I love a statement coat and I think it’s great that coats are no longer seen as that item of clothing that you need to have, that detracts from your outfit and blooming ruins the whole ensemble; instead it can now be the pinnacle of your outfit, the outfit in its entirety and boy are there some amazing ones to choose from right now! If you haven’t already, get on board with the statement coat trend!

I have had my eye on this coat from Miss Guided (no surprise there) for weeks; it is my third coat purchase from Miss Guided in as many months…

I really wanted something more oversized, double breasted, and lighter in colour; warm enough to wear in the crazy cold UK weather but nice enough to take into spring. I ordered a size 6 but in all honesty I was tempted to change for a 4 (but laziness got the better of me…) as I wasn’t sure if it was too oversized but I think worn with the right outfit it works.

It’s so comfy and warm that I know I’ll get a lot of use out of it but I think it works better with heels as its quite long and I am a tad short.
