Next Velvet Bloom

Next Velvet Bloom 1

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Next Summer Press Day at the Hamyard Hotel, London. As ever, Next always put on amazing events; gorgeous venues, amazing clothing, yummy food and lovely press bags. There will be a post coming soon about the gorgeous summer pieces to look forward to from Next but I thought I would wait until the weather is a tad warmer and stops going below -0 before I upload….

One thing I did receive in the press bag and wanted to share with you was one of Next’s new Eau de Parfums, Velvet Bloom. I love perfumes and tend to have quite a few on the go at once; I do have my favourites but I like to try out new ones and switch it up from day to day.

The packaging on this says it all and I LOVE it! It is very dark, sexy and mysterious, which to me sums up the fragrance nicely. It is quite a deep, musky scent which works beautifully for the evening; a bit of a statement scent which is what I look for. The fragrance is described as ‘rich and oriental’ with notes of Bergamot, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Jasmine, Orchid and Sandalwood.

It is the perfect rich scent to wear for a special occasion and more importantly than anything else, I find that this lasts. Even some of the expensive fragrances I have tried have given up after a few hours but this one lasts really well and I think that is because it is such a deep, strong scent. Priced at only £8 for 30ml it is definitely worth trying out and a perfect option for upcoming Mother’s Day!

I looked at a few of the other fragrances at the Press Day too and I liked a lot of them so will definitely be purchasing.

Gorgeous fragrances, lovely packaging, scents that last and purse friendly; need I say more?!
