Some days your skin (and yourself) need a little pick me up! I tend to find that if I am stressed my skin suffers from it and I think most people feel a tad blue at this time of year.
So when I need my face to look a little more human again, there are a few products that I always reach for, have used for ages and would definitely recommend.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask: I picked this up from Sephora whilst in New York last year and boy was it a good buy! I didn’t really know what I was looking for, I just wanted something nice and new to treat my skint to; and I found the perfect product! It smells really clean and fresh and if you have a flight coming up then wack this beauty into your skincare collection! I am heading to New York again in a couple of months and the flight really dries out my skin so I will be slapping this on with no makeup to hopefully land looking pretty respectable! You simply apply as a normal face cream and leave. No need to rinse off, go to sleep and let it do its business; wake up and have bay soft skin!
Maybelline Rocket Waterproof Mascara: Now I don’t wear waterproof mascaras all the time, but this one has certainly got me using them more. I love the brush; a good size with just the right amount of product, not too wet or too dry. It lasts well, is easily removed and gives my lashes a long lasting curl.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: This one probably isn’t a shock for you; love love love this product! Dark circles and puffy eyes needing hiding? Try this concealer; great packaging, great shades to choose from and it does the job. The applicator is easy to use and dispenses a good amount of product. It is really creamy and blends well, however I am itching to try the new Urban Decay Naked Concealer as other bloggers have said it rivals this one; que a quick trip to Selfridges….
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers: I admit I tried out cheaper ones first but they just aren’t anywhere near as good as these. They are gentle on the lashes but give a really good curl; definitely glad I invested with these. My lashes are quite straight so giving them a curl and lashing of waterproof mascara opens my eyes and I can easily see the difference.
A bold lip: Again you will all know my love for a bold lip and it’s too difficult to pick just one. So find your shade and formula and get it on! I always feel better with a bold lip and my favourites include Stila, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets (yeah no surprise there…) and the Sephora Lip Creams.
So no matter what your reason for a pick me up give some of my recommendations a go if you haven’t already, and let me know yours!
